While we absolutely adore the usual iconic usual design, we're very much loving the new range from the brand, which puts aside tradition and embraces clean lines and organic shapes. Not to mention the pastels!

The range, named Coupe, is totally new for Le Creuset, and comes in four contemporary colours – Sea Salt, Meringue, Shell Pink and Flint.

It's all crockery this time, with dinner plates, side plates, cereal bowls, pasta bowls, and sphere mugs all available in each of the four beautiful pastel shades.

You might be thinking "those colours would look SO good with everything else in my kitchen," and you'd be correct in thinking so. The collection has been designed with this in mind, which means these new, sleeker pieces will look just lovely next to the more classic Le Creuset items as well as the rest of your kitchen bits and bobs.

A spokesperson for Le Creuset said of the new collection: “Our all-new Coupe collection plays on the soft tonal palette of pastel shades that we’re seeing grow in popularity across home interiors. The low profile and rimless shape of each product offer a modern and stylish addition to any home, providing the perfect tablescape or accessory for hosting."

We can just see the plates laid out on a wooden outdoor table, the mugs filled with a herbal tea in front of a late-night fire on a summer's eve...

Prices for the new range start from £14, with Coupe available for customers from 1st April online at lecreuset.co.uk.
